Study on the Regional Differentiation and Influencing Factors of Cultural Consumption Level in Chinese Provinces

With the advent of the consumer society, the role of cultural consumption in social structure and reconstruction is becoming more and more obvious. Combining the multi-dimensional research perspectives of economic geography,cultural sociology,and consumer economics,following the principles of scientific,comprehensive,pertinent,and data accessibility of the index selection,and according to the specific situation of China's cultural consumption,this study builds the CCI (culture consumer index) indicator system from three aspects of the cultural consumption environment,willingness and satisfaction. By using GIS spatial analysis and mathematical statistics,this study discusses the regional differentiation regularity and influencing factors of China's regional cultural consumption level. The results show that: 1) China's provincial cultural consumption level is generally manifested as the east-west difference in space,and there is a Hu-line similar to the distribution law of population and economy. The cultural consumption level on both sides of the Hu-line is quite different. 2) The gradient of China's provincial cultural consumption level is obviously different,mainly due to the gap within the plate,and the gap between the plates is supplemented. 3) Supply of cultural products,government regulation,economic development and education level have jointly affected the geographical differentiation of cultural consumption levels in China. 4) It is recommended to rationally guide cultural consumption and achieve regional coordinated development by improving the cultural consumption market,improving the quality of cultural industry development,excavating cultural product connotation,promoting cultural education and cultivating professional talents,formulating differentiated cultural policies and so on.
