Abstract

There is a closely association between health needs of residents and urban health resources. Therefore, based on exsiting research, this study integrates the concept of urban health resources, and then urban health resources were recognized by the data of POI and RS image. Furthermore, studying the spatial distribution, agglomeration and environmental characteristics of urban health resources at block scale, this study reveals the features existing in the spatial distribution of health resources, and provides scientific and beneficial reference on the adjustment and optimization of spatial distribution in the future. The results shows that: 1)The types of health resources is abundant. The new type of health resources in the city has the advantage of species and quantity, especially the importance of active care resources is gradually obvious. Therefore, the residents’ demand for new health resources should be paid more attention when allocating rationally the traditional health resources. 2)Owing to the difference of social and economic attributes or natural attributes, the spatial distribution of urban health resources is not balanced and the clustering characteristics are diverse. These may be lead to some problems, such as the mismatch of supply and demand of health resources, and the limitation of accessibility. 3)To explore the spatial distribution of health resources at block scale, which can avoid the imprecise of statistical unit of traditional administrative region and the pseudo accurate of regular statistical unit, and also can construct the basic geographical environment unit when combining with POI data.
