Spatial-temporal Evolution Characteristics and Mechanism of “Three-function Space” in the Yellow River Basin Under the Background of Territorial Spatial Planning

Abstract

This paper analyzes the evolution characteristics of land use,ecological function space,urban function space and agricultural function space in 438 counties of the Yellow River Basin in 2000,2010 and 2020. On this basis,it explores the evolution mechanism of "three-function space" from three aspects of direction,scale and location. The results show that urban function space continuously occupied agricultural function space and ecological function space in 2000-2020. The scale of agricultural function space decreased sharply under the dual occupation of urban function space and ecological function space. The ecological function space was obviously optimized in the middle reaches of the Yellow River Basin,but degraded in the upper reaches. There is a significant cross-transformation in the source region,the the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River. The evolution results are determined by the direction,scale,and location of evolution which are restricted by multiple factors,such as culture,policy,population,geographical location and engineering technology. Evolution mechanisms are different due to different types of function space,and the intensity of each factor is different in different function space.
